Recipients of State Kala Akademi Fellows, Awards announced

The names of the artistes and writers would be honoured with the Manipur State Kala Akademi Fellows and Awards for the year 2010 have been announced.
According to a statement issued by Secretary of Manipur State Kala Akademi S Vedeshwar Sharma, the Fellows for the year, 2010 are Th Tombi Singh of Khagempalli and Ningombam Ibobi Singh of Khongman.
Those selected for the Awards, 2010 are Akham Laxmi Devi of Yaiskul Janmansthan and Sanasam Ongbi Jasoda Devi of Singjamei Makha Okram Leikai in the field of dance (Manipur), Kshetrimayum Kriti Singh of Brahmapur Bheigyabati Leikai and Mairembam Mema Devi of Oinam Mayai Leikai (Bishnupur) in music, Ranabir Mangang of Kwakeithel Heinoukhongnembi in theatre, Pechimayum Mani Singh alias Loitang Mani of Loitang in Shumang Leela, Chingtham Ranjit Khuman of Haobam Marak Irom Leikai in martial art (Thang-Ta), Khumanthem Sundari Devi of Bamon Leikai Mange Makhong in Khongjomprava and Laishram Leibakmacha Khumalcha of Kha-Sanjenbam Leimapokpam in Pena under the category of Other Forms of Art, Poinapwi Ngounila of Tumuyon Khullen and Meiphunlung Thaimei (Ragailong, Minuthong) in the field of Tribal culture, Ratan Thiyam in Literature for his book, Tala Pamel Nahaksu (poetry) published in 2008 and painter S Boy Singh and sculptor Chitaranjan Moirangthem in Fine Arts.
