Imphal, October 16 2008:
The India Medical Association, Manipur State Branch has conveyed deploration over frequent firing attacks at the residences of Dr TY Babu and Dr M Birkumar and others in the recent past.
A press release issued by IMA also appealed to all organisations to leave the doctors at peace so that they can reciprocate in better patient care.
Taking serious note of the frequent incidents of attacks and disturbances at the residences of doctors and health care centres, it further appealed to the Government to enact an a legislation in the lines of those in Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan and other States prohibiting acts of violence causing injury or danger to lives of medicare service personnel.
