Imphal, July 27, 2010:
Comrade Laishram Rajmani, a member of the state committee, CPI (M) breathed his last today at his residence at Thangmeiband Hijam Dewan Leikai after prolonged illness.
He was 82. CPI (M) has observed condolence to the death of party leader with two-minute silent as mark of respect to the departed soul, said a statement of the party secretary, Sarat Salam expressing share to the grief and sorrow to the family of the deceased.
The late leader joined the CPI in 1957 as member of All Manipur Youth League.
He had participated in many agitations launched by farmers and Trade Union in the state.
The late leader was the president of United Bank of India's Employees' Union, State Unit and Bank Employees' Federation of India, State Unit, the statement recalled.
