Imphal, January 13 2010:
All Manipur Recognised Private Schools' Welfare Association, Imphal-Manipur has expressed dismay over the announcement of the three students' bodies who urged that school fees should be paid for only one month of the four-month long class boycott agitation.
In a statement, the general secretary of AMRPSWA, Kh Japan Meitei said that there was an earlier meeting between the three student bodies' representatives and the private schools' welfare association represented by its president and its organisation secretary over the collection of fees.
The representatives of the private schools' welfare association had candidly told that the matter be decided in the Central Committee and General Body meetings of the association.
The statement denied that there has been no agreement on the collection of fees for only one month.
It further stated that the central committee members of the AMRPSWA have been dissolved with effect from January 13 .
