Medical camp & road safety awareness held

Imphal, April 24 2018:
5 JAK RIF of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) conducted a medical camp cum health awareness programme at St Joseph Higher Secondary School, Sangaiprou.
A total of 2000 students and 50 teachers of the school were examined during the camp and were provided with free prescriptions, by the Regimental Medical Officer of the Battalion and three doctors from RIMS.
An interactive lecture was also conducted on healthy lifestyle.
Meanwhile, 26 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised an awareness programme on 'Road Safety & Traffic Rules' to spread awareness about road safety and adherence to traffic rules.
Approximately 450 booklets on road safety and traffic rules were distributed to the drivers of various vehicles.
On the other hand, 26 Assam Rifles saved the life of one snake bite victim, named Krishna Nanda son of L Brojen Singh of Heirok-I village, yesterday.
