As part of its ongoing civic action programme, the 29 Bn BSF organised free medical camps at CI Post heirok and maningching of Kakching in thoubal district yesterday in which hundreds of needy people including aged and children from the surrounding villages availed medical services, informed a BSF release.
The medical camps were held under the supervision of Commandant AK Hemrom, Second-in-command JC Nayak, chief Medical Officer Dr L Rajen, senior Medical Officer Dr RN Majhi and company commanders along with para medical staff and doctors of local health centre.
The BSF also organised games for children and ladies in addition to extending canteen facilities to the public.
Similar programme was held at Nongpok Sekmai, the release added.
