During the routine drug test conducted at the Regional Drugs Testing Laboratory, Guwahati three drug samples of M/s Rusoma Laboratories Pvt Ltd India were found to be not of standard quality.
These samples were drawn from the Directorate of Family Welfare, Government of Manipur, informed a press release issued by the Director of Medical and Health Services, Dr Th Suresh.
A sample of Electrolyte P, manufactured by M/s Mount Mettur Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd, Tamil Nadu and collected in June 2006 tested following allegation of containing fungus was found not conforming to IP Standard.
The test result was sent to the Government of Manipur as well as to the Drugs Controller General of India for necessary action against the manufacturing company.
Results for eleven other samples collected from eight different companies were awaited, added the release.
