Imphal, May 20:
The All Tribal Physically Handicapped Assn has announced imposition of an a 24 hour bandh on the National Highway-39 from 5 am of May 26 to protest alleged discriminatory attitude of the Deputy Commissioner, Senapati district.
Demanding that the district authority deliver justice to physically challenged individuals in accordance to the State Govt's 3 percent reservation in all poverty alleviation scheme within May 25, the Assn cautioned failure to honour its sincere call would leave the tribal body without no other option other than go ahead with the agitation plan.
The Assn also contended that inspite of previous intimation to the DC on the same matter the official is yet to respond positively.
