Imphal, February 01, 2012::
Forest Department's Wildlife Wing personnel will conduct a survey on February 11 to determine water fowl (Lam Nganu) population at Loktak Lake, Pumlen Pat and surrounding areas of the water body.
According to a statement issued of Deputy Conservator of Forests (Park & Sanctuary), a pre-census orientation camp would also be organised at Thinungei on February 7 for those personnel to be engaged in the census exercise.
In connection with the upcoming census, fishermen have been advised not to lay any sort of trap in and around the Loktak Lake.
