Re-poll not announced in problematic areas: JD (U)

Polling stations in Chandel district where UKLF cadres carried out all sorts of election related crimes in favour of Congress candidate has been overlooked by ECI and no re-poll has been announced as such, charged Janata Dal United.
Addressing media persons at its office here at Paona Bazaar today, M Tombi, President, JD(U), Manipur said that the inner agents of JDU candidate Chungjalien Haokip were barred from entering polling station number 41/36 and 41/59 by the cadres of UKLF and the Congress workers.
One Wangkhulen Haokip, JD (U) worker was also barred from entering the polling station by UKLF cadres and Congress workers at gun point.
He further stated that if law of the land prevails in the state, the UKLF cadres and Congress workers would have been caught by now and put to justice.
Since there is no law, problems of this extent is happening.
He also appealed to all concern UG groups not to interfere with the voting right of the people.
Chungjalien Haokip said that UKLF cadres dragged out voters after they have taken their photographs in polling station number 41/53 and pressed the button in the EVM themselves in favour of their candidate.
The people of the area were not only threatened but all the Chiefs of the villages were forced to take responsibility that all the people of their village vote for the Congress.
He also charged that the UKLF though a signatory to SoO is indulging in terrorizing the people.
