The meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of the State Assembly has been called on March 4 to chalk out the business to be transected in the budget session which will commence from March 17, an official source said today.
The meeting has been called at 2 pm of the day at the BAC room of the Assembly secretariat.
The session may be a short one with four to five seating, the source said.
A Cabinet meeting convened on February 14 under the chair of the Chief Minister, O Ibobi has proposed the Governor to summon the budget session (fifth session) of the state Assembly from March 17 next.
Since then, departments have already started preparation as state authorities had asked them to submit annual reports of each department.
Being the first session of the current year, state Governor Gurbhachan Jagat will address the house on the first day of the session.
For preparation of the speech of the Governor, departments had already directed to submit their annual achievement reports to the concern authority around a month back.
Government agendas like tabling and consideration for passing supplementary budget 2008-09, introduction of an interim budget of the state 2009-10 for passing and vote on account for the first quarter of the financial year 2009-10 (four months) will be the main highlights of the fifth session of the state Assembly, the source added.
