Imphal, March 15, 2010:
The Treasury has notified to all the DDOs that the bills for clearance of pay and other allowances of the Govt employees would not be accepted and passed if the same were not submitted within March 21.The time limit for submitting the salary bills has been fixed to allow encashment earlier ahead of the work loads of the closing financial year.
The decision to this effect was arrived at after a joint meeting of the Director of Treasury and Accounts with the Treasury Officers.
Inspite of the cease work strike of the employees, pay bills of the Departments are reportedly being brought to the Treasury for passing.
