Imphal, December 04: Like in other districts of the State World AIDS day was also observed on December 1 at Ukhrul.

A huge rally was flagged off by the DC of the district, ML Meena at TNL ground with the active participation of functional president Ramthing Hungyo, president of TNL, guest of honour Silla J Konghay president TSL, district level officers, NGOs, school children and people from different walks of life.

Personnel of AR were also present.

About 5000 people took part in the rally.

A function was held at Town Hall where Yuimi Horam, president of TMNL welcomed the participants.

President of TNL, TSL president, SDPO of Ukhrul police Ningshem Vashum were on the dais.

Dr ASK Felix spoke on the theme, �Stop AIDS-Keep the promise�.
