MOA adopts hard decisions

Imphal, December 04: Decrying the failure of the authority concerned to take up action against the referee in Manipur-Goa quarter final match of the just concluded Santosh Trophy football tournament and reiterating the earlier decision taken during a public meeting, the Manipur Olympic Association has today decided not to send any State team to National sports meet from this month.

Simultaneously it was also decided to suspend all National sports meet in Manipur from this month.

This far reaching decision was taken during a meeting held at the conference hall of the MOA with its president E Binoykumar in the chair at 11.30 am today.

Apart from taking the decision, the meeting also decided to constitute a committee to implement the decision.

The committee has also been entrusted with the task of taking up future course of action.
