To help beginners learn Meetei Mayek easily and speedily through computers and TV, discs have been released.
Along with this process has also been taken to transcribe all the text books from the lower class to the higher class to Meetei Mayek.
Produced by the Manipur Education Development and Research Association (Medra), the disc comes in two types, one containing only Meetei Mayek and the other containing both the indigenous script as well as Roman script.
Titled �Araiba Sindam� Disc I and Disc II were released during a function held at Kangla Hall with Manipur University Vice Chancellor Dr N Bijoy as the chief guest.
MEELAL president Ch Akaba presided over the function while HOD of Anthropology of MU Prof D W Nabakumar and BSEM Joint secretary Th Nandakumar were the guests of honour.
Speaking at the function, general secretary of MEDRA Jen Laish said that the disc will be made available to the people very soon.
�Araiba Sindam� is the beginning of the process to let people learn Meetei Mayek easily through the help of modern technology, said Laish and added that efforts are on to produce other teaching concepts and aids.
