CM gives good gradings to MDS

Apart from implementing schemes related to Handloom and Minor Irrigation, Manipur Development Society has been taking up many Engineering works as well as in Agricultural sectors, Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh informed the State Assembly today in response to a query from MLA Morung Makunga during question hour.
The Chief Minister further informed the House that the Society has been giving priority in releasing fund and taking up developmental schemes in remote areas of the hill districts.
So far, 15 integrated tanks have been constructed close to the Fire Brigade offices at different parts for conveniences in times of fire as well as for providing drinking water and irrigation purposes.
In addition, 22 markets sheds and many community halls and bus waiting sheds have been constructed.
In response to another query raised by MLA Th Shyamkumar, the Chief Minister, who is also in charge of Home, informed the House that the target set to complete the construction work of Andro Police Station is within April 30 this year.
