450 people treated in two medical camps

Imphal, March 10 2011:
Around 450 villagers were treated in two separate medical camps organized by the Assam Rifles under IGAR (S) in the last two days, a statement of the PRO IGAR (S) said.
A total of 250 people were treated in one of the medical camps orgainsed by troops of the 36 Assam Rifles held at Sehlon village of Chandel district yesterday, a statement of the IGAR (S) said.
The medical camp was inaugurated by IGAR (S) major general C A Krishnan.
The 250 people treated at the medical camp during which medicines were also distributed to locals.
A medical checkup for school children of the area was also conducted.
The medical camp was conducted at Sajik Tampak today by the 8 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector.
The medical officer and a team of paramedical staff attended more than 300 men, women and children from the village and coming from other neighbouring villages.
