The 14th edition of SATTE OPENWORLD-2007 that is the South Asia's biggest B2B Travel & Tourism Expo organized by the South Asia Travel and Tourism Exchange will be held at Pragati Maidan here from April 19 to 22.As there is the theme pavilion of the North East featuring the eight North Eastern States, all the North Eastern States are to be participated in the 4-day long Expo.
In this connection, the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India informed to all Tourism Secretaries of North Eastern States to make sure their participation in the said Expo along with the representatives of Tourism Industry like Travel Agents, Tour Operators etc as done in the previous Expo.
A source from the Ministry said the Ministry also hired a space of 300 square metres in the said expo and each State would be allocated a space of 35 square metres.
The Ministry would bear all the expenditures including electricity and water charges for the pavilion of the North East.
SATTE OPENWORLD, the first trade show in India has grown into the biggest attracting nation wide attention, support and attendance.
Over the years, it focused on inbound tourism inviting tour operators from overseas as international buyers.
So far SATTE has hosted over 3750 tour operators from over 40 countries worldwide.
They have come from all over � the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, the Far East, China, Japan and Australia.
The sellers' products are from all over India and South Asian countries.
Last year, as many as 12 countries took part in the tourism show.
This year, at least 30 countries are expected to participate in the Expo.
