Kumaris' Woodstolk Higher Secondary School, Mongshangei would be organising a coastal trekking programme covering a distance of 2102 from April 22 to May 30.The adventure programme which would be participated by 8 people would begin from Rameshwaram of Tamil Nadu to Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Talking to mediapersons in this connection at the office of Kangleipakki Meira this afternoon, principal of the higher secondary school Surendra Soraisam who would be the team captain of the trekking said adventure programmes are essential in order to overcome the ordeal of life.
The spirit of adventure cannot be inculcated to the students not through their school syllabus but by taking to the actual field, he said, adding that the school had also successfully organised many adventure programmes for the students in the past.
The coastal trekking programme to be organised by the school this time is the biggest adventure programme, he added.
