An elderly man who was allegedly responsible for fitting the light of the Thabal Chongba programme held at Arapti Pureiromba ground on April 13 in defiance of the appeal made by the proscribed outfit RPF to shun away from organising any entertainment programmes surrendered to the outfit today.
The surrendered person has been identified as Konsam Ningthem (60) s/o late Mangoljao of Arapti Mayai Leikai.
He is the owner of the electrical fittings of the Thabal Chongba programme.
Parading him before mediapersons today, a spokesperson of the department of communication and publicity of RPF said that in connection with the Athoubasingi Numit observed by the outfit, RPF had appealed to the people not to organise any entertainment programme on April 13 .
However, in defiance of the appeal, Thabal Chongba programme was held at Arapti Pureiromba ground on that said day.
The band party and sound and light providers of the programme have been asked to surrender to the outfit within April 25 .
Accordingly, the owner of the electrical light fittings surrendered to the outfit today.
So he would be set free without giving any stern action, the spokesperson said.
Admitted to the charges levelled against him, Ningthem also gave his words to accept any punishment given by RPF in case of similar indulgences against the outfit in the future.
