The Court of the Additional Chief Judicial magistrate began hearing the CBI application for permission to conduct mental analysis test on two persons accused in the murder case of Lungnila Elizabeth.
However, after the preliminary hearing based on submission of the CBI counsel today the Court deferred further the hearing to November 22.The Central investigation agency, handling the school girl kidnap and murder case, had approached the Court to allow it to conduct tests pertaining to the accused�s finger prints, narco analysis, psycho analysis and lie detection.
The CBI is seeking tests of the two murder accused - Thokchom Nando and N Rome Meitei - at Gandhinagar�s Forensic Science laboratory, in Gujarat which the agency insist can establish the veracity of their statements while in police custody.
As per the CBI contention, the two National Security Act detainee, despite confessing to their involvement in the kidnap and subsequent murder of Higher Education Minister Francis Ngajokpa�s 8 year old daughter are said to have turned hostile.
It may be mentioned that the State Govt had already intimated to their Gujarat counterpart regarding the CBI proposal for relevant tests in that State.
