The Manipur Students Federation (MSF), as a part of its ongoing campaign "Ekhoi Lairik Ningthina Tamsi" launched in 2006, distributed reading materials to the students of poor families reading from Standard-I to Standard-VIII at Ethai High School, Ethai Khunou.
The distribution of reading materials was attended by MSF General Secretary H Chandrabon, executive member Md Anas Shah, Principal M Kumar of Ethai High School and head master Y Diren of the Ethai Junior High School.
Speaking on the occasion, MSF general secretary H Chandrabon said, during the three year long campaign of the body, so far text books and reading materials have been distributed to around 18,000 students across the state.
The body has also arranged admission to around 10,000 students.
All the students who availed the benefits were from the poor families who could not afford for buying the said items.
The body will continue the campaign, he added.
Chandrabon also said that they faced delay in the distribution of the text books for this year session due to the non-availability of this items published by the board of secondary education.
