Imphal, May 18 2009:
DESAM has urged the armed group KCP (MC) to revoke its decision of banning the students' body.
A press release issued by its publicity secretary KC Ibomcha said that the urge put before Manipur Chemist and Druggist Association and KCP (MC) to bring an amicable solution was not with the intention of any ill-will against any organisation.
The appeal was made only because the general public, especially patients were facing lots of inconvenience due to the closure of chemist shops.
Saying that DESAM has no strength to challenge with any armed group, the release said that KCP (MC) must have given the chance to rectify even if the students' body has committed any mistake.
It was unfortunate to ban DESAM without any such intimation, the release added.
It further said that DESAM would not be able to stand as a spectator when the public are
in trouble.
DESAM stands with the idea of making medical services a 'free zone' like education, the press release added.
