Imphal, April 16 2010:
Medical staff of 17 Assam Rifles saved the life of boy who was bitten by a viper snake on April 14 .
Woryo (10) s/o Wongho of Halang village was bitten by the poisonous snake while he was playing in the field near his village.
An AR press release said that he was rushed to the unit hospital of 17 AR where the boy was administered anti snake venom.
He was later referred to Ukhrul District Hospital.
In another incident, a medical team of 21 Assam Rifles saved the life of one Anayaima Singh (55) of Leishangthem village of Thoubal district by administering anti snake venom after he was bitten by a poisonous snake on April 12.He was later referred to RIMS Hospital for further treatment, added the press release.
