Imphal, July 21, 2010:
The two boys who were allegedly abducted by some unknown persons from Chingarel area on July 19 around 12 noon have returned home safely.
The two boys said that they escaped from a house where they were kept hostage.
However, the boys have not been able to identify the house.
One of the boys, Larellakpam Nganba told this newspaper that while he and his friend Ngangbam Kuber were going on the road on foot, a white colour Maruti van pulled to a stop near them and three unknown persons got off the van and asked them where their houses were.
The two boys pointed toward their houses.
The three unknown persons lifted them into the van and took them away.
As soon as they were taken into the van, they fell unconscious, Nganba said.
He narrated that when they regained consciousness, they found themselves in a bed inside a house.
Since he knew that it was not their house, he woke up Kuber but he refused to get up saying that he was feeling giddy.
But he forcibly woke him up and came out of the house.
Then, on seeing the Tiny Tots School, they realised that it was Deulahland.
As they were familiar with the road, they walked upto Lamlong bazar, from where he phoned home from a PCO and called his mother.
His mother and some local residents came and took them home.
Ngangbam Kuber said, the three persons who came in the van and abducted them were wearing black mask on their face.
However, the abductors did not give them any tablet/capsule or injection.
They did not give them any physical torture either, Kuber said.
