Imphal, July 21, 2010:
A library of All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU), to be known as "AMWJU Library" would be opened from August 13, Patriots' Day.
Announcing this, library in-charge, Khelen Thokchom, Principal Correspondent, Imphal of The Telegraph, said in a press release that though the Union doesn't have sufficient books and materials to make a library, it would be started with whatever books the Union has in its possession.
The Union would also seek help from whoever can donate books, Khelen Thokchom said and appealed to the people of the state to donate books related to journalism, history of Manipur, art and culture, games and sports, old journals, etc.
