Imphal, July 25 2009:
Activists of an underground group operating in the state including a woman nabbed by Tripura police on July 15 and 18 last from a Bangladesh bound bus parking in Tripura and Charbazar of Karimkanj district of Assam were brought to Imphal today by a state police team.
The activists apprehended from the bus parking were from PULF.
Among them, the chief of a faction of the group Md Abdul Rehman (25) included.
They have been brought to Imphal in relation with a case registered with the Wangoi police station of Imphal west with the production of production warrant issued against them, source said.
Two other who are nabbed from the Karimganj by Assam have also been brought to Imphal.
They have been brought here in connection with a case registered with the Imphal police station in 2008 .
It is pertinent to mention that when the Imphal police station prayed for issued of production warrants to the chief judicial magistrate, the court has denied to issue after the police failed to give particular of the case which they were involved.
The two persons were cadres of PLA outfit.
When the state police team went there for shifting them to the state also Karimganj police refused to take back them as they failed to produced production warrant issued by the competent court.
Later, police mentioning the FIR case registered against them on July 24 last brought them Imphal today.
The brought activists will be produced in the court tomorrow by the police with prayer for further remand to the judicial custody.
