The march of CADA as part of its week long campaign against drug abuse in connection International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking reached Yairipok today.
It was flagged off on yesterday last by Education Minister L Jayentakumar.
Altogether 80 volunteers of CADA participating in the march.
Street corner meetings were organized at various places of Imphal East yesterday and spend the night at Nongpok Kakching Junior High School.
A public meeting was also organized at the school at 8 pm in the night.
M Romesh, Village Authority Chief of Nongpok Kakching further flagged off the march today morning.
A public meeting was organized at Andro Keithel today.
Around 60 villagers of Andro attended the meeting.
Later public meetings were organized at Uchon Youth Club, Andro Phuramakhong, Huikap Government Junior High School, Huikap, Angtha Maning Leikai and finally reached Yairipok.
Appealing the people of the state to stand united against the increasing abuse of drugs and intoxicants and the crimes related to such abuse, CADA chided the state government that the government is overlooking and neglecting these issues.
Further CADA thanked and appealed the people of the state for their kind cooperation in the march of CADA against drug abuse.
