The Jiribam Higher Secondary School Students' Union has set November 26 as the deadline to the Government for fulfilling its demands.
The demands of the students include appointment of two Commerce teachers, one Mathematic teacher and one English teachers.
The agitating students have also threatened to boycott the Higher Secondary Examination, 2008 to be conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur in case the Government fails to provide the required teachers before the deadline expires.
General secretary of the student union O Panitomba has categorically stated that the local MLA and Forest and Revenue Minister Th Debendra should be held responsible for any untoward incident which may occur during the course of agitation to be launched by the Union, which has decided to go to the extreme in pursuance of its demands.
