Representatives and members of employees' bodies from Senapati, Chandel, Churachandpur, Tamenglong and Ukhrul also participated in the rally.
Resolving to intensify the ongoing cease work strike, during the meeting it was decided that the agitating employees would be locking up their respective offices from tomorrow and steps would be taken up to ensure participation of the security personnel and the staff of the Departments related to essential services in the ongoing cease work strike.
It was decided that JAC would begin a campaign from tomorrow so as to encourage the security personnel to launch a non-cooperation movement in support of the ongoing agitation.
Furthermore, the meeting resolved to launch court arrest and 'jail Bharo' agitation at the Chief Minister's gate if any of the volunteers of JAC were arrested by the law enforcing agencies and stage protest demonstration in front of the gate of the Secretariat so as to encourage the employees there to extend physical support to the ongoing stir.
The meeting proceeded with JAC advisor and former Joint Director of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Dr M Rajendro, vice president of JAC N Manihar, secretary general of JAC Ch Chandramani and president of Pensioners' Union H Yaima as presidium members.
Addressing the meeting, Chandramani pointed out that the demand being raised by Govt employees in the State today has already been implemented in other States like Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh and called upon the employees to stand unitedly and force the Government to concede.
