National Students' Union of India (NSUI), Ukhrul district has kicked start its campaign of inspecting the functioning of the Government offices in the district, starting off with Mobile Health Dispensary being operated under Border Area Development Programme (BADP) at Nungbi village on September 2.During the course of the inspection, the student team learnt that six doctors namely Dr Mathias Jojo, Dr Jim King Lungleng, Dr Manik and Dr Kapangring looking after the medical need of people living in the surrounding villages.
Talking to the student team, Dr Jim King Jojo disclosed that the efforts are being made to bring more villages under the coverage of the programme.
Giving these informations in a statement, general secretary of the student body N Zimik further informed that the student body has also investigated into the allegation of deducting percentages from the fund released for social welfare schemes by Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul district and found them to baseless.
