Imphal, February 25 2015:
Due to alleged defective policy of the Govt, people of Ukhrul district are unlikely to get SK-fuel regularly and sufficiently in the days to come, according to a SK oil dealer of Ukhrul.
Speaking to reporters at Deulahlane today, proprietor of ZV Napoleon Oil Agency, 95 years old ZV Kahangpam, one of the two authorised SK fuel dealers of Ukhrul, alleged that the District Supply Officer, Imphal in cahoots with some individuals, closed down his godown/store located at Viewland, Ukhrul on Feb 17 without giving any rhyme or reason.
He said that he and another dealer have been supplying SK-oil to people of the district through sub-dealers.
He was allotted just 12 KL of SK oil for three months October, November and December last year, while his fellow dealer was allotted 88 KL for the same period through an order issued by Under Secretary (CAF&PD) dated Oct 14, 2015, Kahangpam pointed out.
Since a long time back, both the dealers have been enjoying the same quantity of SK oil quarterly allotment, he said.
However, no SK oil was allotted to him as per an order issued by the Under Secretary (CAF&PD) on Jan 14 this year and the whole quota (100 KL) was issued in favour of the other dealer.
Following his complaint to the Minister concerned, he was issued just 24 KL (out of the total 100KL) through another allocation order issued on Jan 17 .
However, another order issued on Feb 2 said that the allocation order issued on Jan 17 would be effective for February and March quotas.
Following a petition at the High Court of Manipur, the Court stayed the notification issued on Feb 2, he said.
He asserted that he was given the dealership as a freedom fighter.
Kahangpam further said that he had submitted all utilisation reports to the district administration.
He pointed out that he also received threats from some quarters.
As such, regular and sufficient supply of SK oil may be affected, he said.
