Imphal, May 09:
The Kuki National Front (KNF) has asserted that it never opposes the KNA movement for Kuki homeland in Myanmar but KNA's attempt to break the Kuki revolutionaries platform, the Kuki National Council (KNC) which comprises of five outfits to achieve the political goal of the Kukis in the North Eastern India will be strongly opposed.
In a statement Issak Kuki, assistant information secretary said that while KNC is preparing for political dialogue with the GoI, the KNA which is an Indian Army agency is trying to curb Kuki revolutionaries with the help of RAW with strong backing from Indian Army.
This has become an obstacle, said KNF and charged KNA of triggering internecine killings in Churachandpur district.
It also urged KNF(Z) and KNF(MC) to snap ties with the KNA and rejoin the KNC at the earliest.
Accusing the KNA as a puppet some politicians, the statement said that it is trying to expand its area of operation in zones which fall under KNC.
This is being carried out so that the KNA can install the politicians of their choice, further accused KNF.
The time has come for the Kuki people to distinguish between a revolutionary outfit and a stooge of politicians, said KNF.
