Imphal, May 09:
If peace and normalcy could be restored in a district like Churachandpur which is inhabited by people belonging to various communities, it would be of great help in bringing about peace to the whole of Manipur.
The above observation was made by president of Senior Citizen for Society N Bijoy Singh while speaking as chief guest at the inaugural function of the training programme on Local capacity for peace at Mangal Centre at Torbung in Churachandpur district today.

For peace and normalcy to return, he/she should not fear anything and be ready to face every challenges bravely.
Side by side, the State Government should also initiate dialogues with the various underground organisations operating in the State, he noted.
While dwelling on the general theme of the training programme, Prof L Sadananda said Peace, Development and Integration are co-related and one cannot do without the other.
CCPNM president Prof Riyazuddin Choudhury who presided over the function observed one should respect the religion professed by another as he/she respect his/her own.
