Leimakhong Bazar residents have today said that the state government will be held responsible for any eventuality arising out of the dispute on Leimakhong Bazar Parking.
Talking to reporters today at a press meet called by the Leimakhong SC Transport Cooperative Society, Leimakhong Bazar Authority, and Leimakhong Bazar Youth Club, the secretary of the SCTCS, L Lairen said that the concerned government authority has failed to address the issue of parking dispute at Leimakhong Bazar even after sending several representations.
He said the parking has been registered in the name of the SCTCS.
Since recent time, the parking has been used by L Phaikot Passenger taxis without any authorisation by crossing their area of jurisdiction.
He alleged the Phaikot passenger vehicles are using the parking without any legality.
He said the parking will be only used by passenger vehicles registered with the SCTCS.
But the parking is now used by Phaikot vehicles without any authorisation.
The government authority has been informed about the matter on several occasions and urged to solve the dispute, but the government turned a deaf ear to the pleas.
He warned that the government will be held responsible for any eventuality arising out of the parking dispute.
The secretary of Leimakhong Bazar Authority, SL Kailen said, the Phaikot vehicles are using the parking space of Leimakhong Bazar without paying parking fee.
He said the collection of parking fee will be entrusted to the Leimakhong Bazar Youth Club from July 31.Kailen further said that anybody unwilling to pay parking fee will be no more allowed to park their vehicles at the parking.
