To brief the Union Home Minister about the prevailing law and order situation of the State and to urge for timely clearance of funds meant for development projects being taken up here, Chief Secretary Jarnail Singh and DGP Y Joykumar have left for Delhi today.
The Chief Secretary and the DGP will also attend a meeting which will be presided by the Union Home Secretary.
In addition to the prevailing law and order situation, the meeting will discuss the Action Plan on law and order already approved by the State Cabinet.
Moreover, it will also discuss the railway line from Jiribam to Imphal via Tupul, expansion and maintenance of NH 39, ensuring petrol stock for at least 90 days, construction of one FCI godown in every district headquarters, initiation of Tipaimukh dam construction and completion of the development work along NH 150 and removing delays in releasing development funds etc.
