Reacting on hearing the news of the transfer of Tamenglong district deputy commissioner Jacintha Lazarus, the Tamenglong Block Congress Committee (BCC-Tamenglong district) has demanded the revocation of the transfer order of the IAS officer.
BCC-Tamenglong president Rapan said that there have been already four times taken regarding the transfer and posting of Tamenglong district deputy commissioner this year itself.
He said that such frequent transfering of the deputy commissioner hampers the progress of various developmental work in the district.
Expressing deep resentment towards the decision of the government of Manipur to transfer the deputy commissioner of Tamenglong, Jacintha Lazarus, IAS to Churachandpur, the Block Congress Committee (BCC), Tamenglong HQ stated that the frequent transfer of DC, Tamenglong has hampered development projects in the district.
Rapan, president, BCC, Tamenglong, it stated that ever since her posting 6 months back, the DC has conducted the last MP election successfully and has made sincere effort to identify and understand the needs and problems of the people living in the nooks and corners of the district.
Over a short span of time, she has won the confidence of the public which is very important to implement development schemes and programmes successfully, in addition to being looked upon by the womenfolk as an exemplary figure, particularly by young girl students, the statement added.
Stating that this is the fourth time that the DC of Tamenglong has been transferred, the public of the district have decided to demand revocation of the transfer of the DC in the interest of the district, declared BCC, Tamenglong.
