As a part of its continuous agitations against the Khwairamband incident of July 23, Manipur People�s Party (MPP) has held protest meeting today at its office campus located at Mapal Kangjeibung.
The demonstration was attended by prominent leaders of the MPP including its president Dr Nimaichand Luwang, advisor Dr L Chandramani, ex-minister L Jatra, the party�s general secretaries S Dilip, A Sidam, N Sanajaoba, treasurer S Umananda, publicity secretary Y Mangi, and other leaders.
The MPP President Dr Nimaichand Luwang reiterated that the party will carry on the agitations until Chief Minister Ibobi is ousted from his post.
He also took strong exception over the silence maintained by the AICC and MPCC leaders on the demand for the removal of Ibobi.
Asserting that the high command of the MPP is the people, Dr Nimaichand said the party will continue to revere the voice of the people and work along with them.
Speaking on the occasion, MPP advisor Dr L Chandramani asked what development had the SPF brought in over the years of its regime.
Stating that the MPP stands for bring about peaceful atmosphere in the state, Dr Chandramani said there would be more love among the people if the CM resigns during the period of judicial inquiry.
