The 3rd women's conference of Rongmei Naga Baptist Association (RNBA) hosted by Luangba Baptist Church concluded today amid great pomp and show.
The meeting of Rongmei women of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland states, held every ten years was formally closed till 2016 by Rev TP Mordeccai, Executive Secretary RNBA with thanks to the Almighty, said a statement.
The crowd, in their vibrant traditional attires from nook and corner of the region gathered at Luangba Community hall complex to witness several entertaining programmes including choir song competition, fancy show, talent show, gospel message in the valedictory session held today.
The most exciting moment of the evening ca-me around when the choir song competition, the main programme of the conference result was declared in which Dimdailong Baptist Church (Imphal Valley), Town Baptist Church (Khumji) and Emanuel Baptist Church (Tamenglong) were declared winners in A, B and C groups respectively.
The conference also witnessed change of secretary, Women Department RNBA where Ms Azanliu Pamei was succeeded by Ms Adina Rongmei of Rwanghdai village, Nungba sub-division Tamenglong District.
Speakers of the conference dwelling at length on topics related to the Rongmei women and the contemporary war torn world, exhorted the women to be an agent of peace, to be courageous, to rise and shine in the Bible context.
All the conference delegates are set to return to their respective home towns tomorrow.
