Wildlife products recovered

Imphal, October 26 2014:
Troops of 24 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (S) apprehended a woman along with banned wild life products at Khudengthabi check post on October 24 .
The woman has been identified as Leiupa (32) w/o Angkham of Kambang Khunou, Chandel.
Around 1.700 kgs of Pangolin shells worth about Rs 1,20,000, one mobile phone, one voter ID card, four gold ear rings and Rs 410 in cash were recovered from her possession, according to a statement issued by the PRO of IGAR (S) .
She has been handed over to the Forest Department, Imphal along with the recovered items.
In another incident, troops of 20 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (S) apprehended an individual alongwith 120 beer cans worth about Rs 7,800 on October 24 from Bongyang.
He has been identified as Raju Singh s/o Ibomcha Singh of Irom Singjamei, Imphal East.
He has been handed over to Moreh police station along with the recovered items, said the PRO's release.
