As a part of the Manipur Students' Federation's year long campaign on the theme "Let's Learn Properly", a lecture programme was held today at RK Sanatombi College of Education.
The lecture was moderated by the president of the All Manipur Bar Association Khaidem Mani.
Dean of Students Welfare, Manipur University Prof N Rajmohon delivered lecture on the types of scientific knowledge which needed to be instilled among the students to bring a social reformation in Manipur.
AMUCO advisor Dhanabir Laishram spoke on the responsibilities and duties of students to bring a progressive society .
The responsibilities of teachers to groom students to make them competent citizens was the topic of the Principal of RK Sanatombi Devi College of Education S Gunadhor.
Dhanabir observed that human resource is the most precious resource and knowledge is the most profitable trade item in international business.
He lamented that students read less and did little research works in Manipur.
The impulse to progress and lead a life of high-standard is lost once it comes to community level even though it exists at the individual level, noted Dhanabir.
As such there is a need to think for community welfare.
Only when there is sense of patriotism, nationalism and belongingness among the students of Manipur, the State can look forward to a bright future, noted Dhanabir.
