After days of delayed and uncertainty, shifting of vendors into the newly constructed market sheds of Khwairamband Bazar would start from tomorrow.
Issuing a notification in this regard, Revenue Officer of Imphal Municipal Council A Shivadas Sharma, the shifting would start from 10 am with Purana Bazar and it would be followed by Luxmi Bazar and New Market.
The officer informed that the notice is being issued in accordance to the decision taken during a meeting held in the office chamber of Chief Minister today.
It may be noted here that even though the market sheds have been inaugurated by AICC president and UPA chairman Sonia Gandhi during her recent visit to Manipur, shifting of vendors to the newly inaugurated market sheds have been delayed following certain problems.
According to the notification, shifting would be carried out on an average of five sheds in a day and around a week's time has been worked out for each of three Markets to complete the shifting.
The shifting would be done on the basis of the seat and license number and who else have been allotted the seats in either sides.
Seat listing would be carried out after each of the license holders have occupied their respective and video recording of the license holders along with their respective license cards would be done.
As for the controversial license card holders, the seats would be kept reserved and allotment would be made only after the matter has been settled.
