The Joint Administrative Council (JAC) of AMTUC and AMGEO which has been spearheading an indefinite strike in pursuance of the demand for extension of the benefits of 6th Central Pay Commission to the employees of the State Govt as well has charged with Govt with trying to mislead the people.
Addressing a press conference at its Babupara office today, JAC president K Madhumangol said Chief Minister has been trying to mislead the people by asserting that extension of the 6th Pay Commission to the employees would be at the cost of the State exchequer when the fact is that there is great difference between Plan and non-Plan amount.
He also informed that the JAC would continue to launch its agitation until the Government comes up with a written assurance on agreeing to the demand of the employees even in-principle.
