CHIEF MINISTER O Ibobi has given a deadline to the womenfolk of the family line located inside Kangla to move away by tomorrow morning.
While the Chief Minister paid a short visit to Kangla Utra Mamang to inspect the ongoing construction works, some women of the family line located inside Kangla came and met him.
After allowing about three or four women representatives to meet him, the Chief Minister told them categorically that barracks even for the police commandos, who are fighting the insurgents risking their own lives, has not been able to be constructed.
If the family line still continue to remain inside Kangla, people of Manipur would start talking about it.
With folded hands, the Chief Minister told the women representatives, "I touch your feet and beseech you, please shift from Kangla".
Even before the womenfolk could react, the Chief Minister immediately left the place.
In the meantime, the authority has started demolishing family quarters, officers' club and such other houses in Kangla today.
According to instructions given by the Chief Minister, all the buildings located in the family line at Kangla would be demolished tomorrow.
The Chief Minister accompanied by Works Minister K Ranjit, MLA Bijoy Koijam and officials concerned.
