United Farmers� Club (UFAC) which was set up on September 9, 2005 has been formally inaugurated during a solemn function held at Khumbong Bazar today.
The newly inaugurated farmers� club is promoted by Yurembam Branch of Bank of Baroda (BoB).
The inaugural function cum base level orientation training programme was graced by principal of ICM, Lamphel SC Borah as chief guest and ex-chairman of Nagaland Rural Bank L Bihari as president.
DGM of NABARD, Imphal Sonamani Yambem and Branch Manager of BoB Yurembam TT Zathang also attended the function as guests of honour.
Speaking at the occasion, SC Borah assured that ICM in association with NABARD would be providing training to the members of the farmers� club.
Appreciating the BoB for promoting such club, he also assured all logistic support to the club.
L Bihari suggested to the Club members to meet weekly and contribute some amount for the development of the Club.
Sonamani Yambem highlighted upon various schemes under IDBI, NABARD and other Banks while appealing to the loanees for regular repayment of loan amount taken.
TT Zathang appealed to the beneficiaries under IRDP, PMRY, SEEY, Manipur Soft Loan, etc to cleared of their loan amount and avail fresh loan through UFAC, Khumbong.
