Claiming responsibility for the abduction of the two truck drivers from near their stone crushing worksite at Sekmai river area the KCP (MC) has cautioned that failure to settle the matter amicably would constraint the outfit to initiate strong appropriate measures.
The two were taken captive for disregarding guidelines of the KCP-MC and are safely detained at a camp, the outfit maintained.
According to a statement issued by information and public relation officer of the KCP (MC) Puranthaba, cadres of the 'Operation Sangai' on June 14 had a fierce gun-fight with a joint team of police commandos and activists of group who were acting at the behest of an Association.
Puranthaba also claimed that cadres of the 'Sangai Operation' are aware of location of two hideouts of the Lanheiba gangster in addition to getting information regarding a workshop located in Uripok Sorbon Thingel area utilised by the Lanheiba group to prepare explosive devices.
While accusing one Bashanta Kumar of Heirangoithong of collecting huge amount in the name of Angamba, Puranthaba claimed responsibility for the blast triggered at the MIS brick Field.
On the otherhand, KCP-MC also asked all concerned to immediately abstain from any contract activities regarding Leishang Hiden canal.
