Imphal, June 29 2009:
The proscribed KCP has suspended all forms of fund collection/donation drive as well as all financial related activities with immediate effect until further orders.
A decision to this effect was adopted during an executive meeting of the outfit's politburo and central committee.
A statement issued by the outfit's CFR cum DIPR secretary in charge Tabungba Meitei further asked the public not to entertain any monetary demand made in the name of KCP.
It appealed to the people to inform its nearest mobile camp in case any one comes with monetary demand in the name of the outfit.
However, if any one is found serving monetary demand or complying with a demand, both the taker and the giver would be penalised in equal degree, the outfit cautioned.
The second resolution adopted in the executive meeting was invalidating the outfit's letter-head currently in use.
A new letter-head to replace the existing letter-head was also released during the meeting.
The introduction of the new letter-head was necessitated by the severe discredit done to the outfit by some gangs who used forced letter-head and seals of the outfit to extort money and terrorise public for which the outfit received all the blame.
Quoting statement of the party president Ningamba Meitei, Tabungba said that it was a foregone conclusion that the indigenous people of the land would disappear from the surface of the earth in case the alleged fake encounters staged by security forces continue any longer.
To save the nation from the imminent extinction, it is crucial for all revolutionary groups to unite together.
The party went on to suggest for an all party conference to realise unification of all revolutionary
groups.
It also sought unstinted support from all clubs, organisations, Meira Paibi organisations and the general public towards its efforts to forge an alliance of the revolutionary groups.
Releasing the new letter-head of the party during the executive meeting, the outfit's general secretary Khamba Luwang appealed to the State police to retract its actions/steps targeting the KCP.
Referring to State police allegedly dubbing many individuals as cadres of KCP Nando group, Babu group, Tomba/Chaoba group after arresting them, the most recent case being the claim of Thoubal SP that a cadre of KCP Nando group has been arrested, Khamba asked whether the State police reserved the right to give names to different revolutionary organisations, conveyed Tabungba.
