Imphal, January 22: The 4th Governor's Cup Golf Tournament cum inauguration of Golf Course at Mantripukhri Environmental Park and Training Area was held today with the Governor Dr SS Sidhu and IG AR (South) Major General BS Ghotra as the chief guest and president respectively.

The Governor's Cup tournament participated by 25 golfers was won by M Rachandra culling 17.33 points in the 4-ball match competition.

Rajib Salam secured 17 points to finish second.

In the Green Hole competition of the tournament Dr Gopimohan and M Indrajit bagged the first and second position respectively.

With a swing of 237 metres Ch Bimol claimed the longest drive prize.

The women's section of the competition was won by Jyotiprasana while Miss Bobina finishing second.

Dr Sidhu handed over the prizes to winners and position holders in various categories.

Officers and jawans of 4 Assam Rifles planted over 1000 tree saplings in the newly established golf course to provide green belt to Imphal.
