Imphal, January 22: The proposed indefinite Tamenglong bandh called by All Zeliangrong Students' Union (A,M&N) and Zeliangrong Students' Union, Manipur from tomorow has been suspended for 15 days.

A decision to this effect was taken following an understanding reached between the student representatives and the State Government during a meeting today with Works Minister, Th Debendra, Chief Secretary, Jarnail Singh, and DC of Tamenglong district, T Panmei.

Information and Publicity secretary of ZSU stated the with the suspension of the bandh, its stand to boycott Republic Day has been withdrawn.

Chief Minister in charge, Th Debendra informed that the NEC fund for renovation of Tamenglong-Mongsang road would be released to BRTF within a forthnight and concerning the withdrawal of bill without undertaking any work at Tamenglong, the Minister disclosed that an Assistant Engineer and an Executive Engineer have been suspended along with the transfer of SE from Tamenglong.
