Manipur began its campaign in the North East zone qualifying round of the Under-19 national Football Championship for Dr BC Roy Trophy with a 2-0 win over Assam at Aizawl today.
Both the goals were scored by R Vashum who broke through the opponent resistance in the 17th minute and notched the matchwinner 13 minutes into the second half.
